The following is a recommended trip schedule or itinerary for Belitung for two days and one night that you can use. Transportation options Renting a motorbike or car directly around the airport area can be the best option to support your vacation here. Because, there is no public transportation that can reach all areas. The existence of online motorcycle taxis only revolves around urban areas.
According to information from local residents who become tour guides when visiting there, one motorbike can be rented at rates ranging from Rp. 70,000 to Rp. 80,000. For cars depending on the type, the most common is Avanza. IDR 350,000 a day off the key, if the all-in driver is IDR 500,000 to IDR 600,000, that’s 24 hours.
Breakfast at Mie Belitung Atep
If you take the earliest flight from Soekarno-Hatta Airport, you can arrive in Belitung at 07.30 WIB. Well, it’s the right time to have breakfast before heading to a hotel or other destination. Mie Belitung Atep is the right choice, because the location is only about 20 minutes from the airport. The warmth of the noodles with a savory-sweet taste gives comfort to the stomach after a long journey.
On a plate lined with a leaf of simpur, yellow noodles are served with thick shrimp broth, topped with boiled prawns, boiled potatoes, fried tofu slices, cucumber slices, and melinjo chips.
One portion of Belitung noodles is priced at Rp. 20,000 and the team’s rice is Rp. 22,000. You can also buy a typical Belitung drink at this shop, namely the key orange syrup for IDR 35,000 for a 350 ml size.
Check in hotel
Once full, you can continue your journey to the hotel that has been booked and check in. One of them is Hotel Santika Premiere Beach Resort Belitung, which is located on Jalan Pantai, Dusun Ulu, Sijuk, Belitung. The distance is quite far from the city center, about 40 minutes drive. However, this hotel is suitable for those of you who want to get a calm atmosphere, with a wide stretch of beach.
For lunch, you can ask the driver or hotel staff for recommendations for the nearest food stall because they are more familiar with the location. Like last Tuesday, we were taken to an anonymous food stall which is only about 10 minutes from the hotel where we were staying. Although very simple, the menu served comes from processed fresh sea fish. We ate snapper curry, a portion of which was priced at Rp. 25,000.
Enjoy the sunset at Laskar Pelangi Beach
A trip to Belitung is incomplete if you don’t stop by Tanjung Tinggi Beach which is iconic as the shooting location for the 2008 film Laskar Pelangi.
The location is in Sijuk District, Belitung. Access is also very easy, can be reached by car or motorbike. There is no official entrance fee. You only need to pay for parking of IDR 5,000.
Here you can take pictures in the style of eight Laskar Pelangi figures, precisely on the biggest rock, while pointing at the sky as if it were pointing at a rainbow.
This beach offers views of the color gradations of granite that blend beautifully with the sea water which is getting more and more blue in the afternoon. The waves are very calming.
Plus, you can clearly see small fish and crabs near the rocks jutting into the sea. Although quite crowded, tourists can still find a comfortable place to enjoy the sunset view, because this beach is fairly wide.
Filling the stomach at the Timpo Duluk food stall
After you are tired of walking around, you eat dinner at the Belitong Timpo Duluk restaurant on Jalan Lettu Mad Daud, Parit, Tanjung Pandan, Belitung. This restaurant provides a variety of home cooked menus. Belitong Timpo Duluk Restaurant Serving See Photos of Belitong Timpo Duluk Restaurant
Entering the house, the view will be on the design of the walls filled with various hats, trays, and old agricultural tools. Everything is stuck to the wall.
The food served is fried fish, fish soup, tofu pepes, and seasoned chicken. Even though it’s simple, it feels delicious because it’s eaten together.
Having a coffee and enjoying the corner of Belitung city at Kong Djie Coffee
Closing the night, while enjoying the corner of Belktung City, you can hang out and sip a glass of legendary iced coffee and a plate of grilled bananas at Kong Djie Coffee. Nearly 80 years old, this coffee shop located on Jalan Siburik, Tanjung Pandan, Belitung is never empty of buyers. The shop looks crowded, both by newcomers and some local residents who are cool to joke around. The walls, which are made of plywood, also look weathered, with age. Likewise, the yellow paint in the room is shabby. Interestingly, from the front of the shop, you can see the process of making coffee using three tall kettles with burning coals.
For Kopi Kong Djie’s mainstay menu, you can order a glass of Kopi O, which is dark and thick black coffee, priced from Rp. 8,000 for a small glass and Rp. 10,000 for a large glass. Next, there is also milk coffee. A blend of coffee and sweetened condensed milk that can be purchased at a similar price. Both menus are available in hot and cold (ice) versions.
